What I’ve Learned About Slawburgers
Little did I know that my hometown was known for the most obscure thing: the Slawburger. Apparently a few of the local restaurants have been selling hamburgers with slaw on them for around 100 years. I had tried slawburgers a few times at Honey’s, but I had no idea that they were almost exclusive to Fayetteville until the folks at Fayetteville Mainstreet announced the Slawburger Festival. On April 18, 2015 the Downtown Historic Fayetteville is going to be filled with people there to celebrate our most famous delicacy. There is going to be live music featuring my favorite local band, Old Nick and the Gypsies, food venders, eating competitions, a 5K run, and who knows what else. I’m definitely going to be there to see what this craze is about.
Find me there and take a photo with me and post it to social media with #slawburger15 and I’ll give you 10% off your next quote.
